Russia and Ukraine Report New Attacks After Talks in Turkey

Russia and Ukraine are accusing each other of new drone attacks, hours after the latest negotiations between the countries.

Representatives of the warring parties met in Turkey on Wednesday evening.

Ukrainian drones reportedly struck Russian areas along the Black Sea. In the Krasnodar region, a woman was killed by the debris of a falling drone, and another was injured, according to Russian authorities. Elsewhere in Russia, an impact has been reported at an oil storage facility.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reports attacks on civilian targets in regions including Odesa, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhia. He says three people have been killed and ten wounded.

Zelensky criticises Russia’s attack on civilian targets following a Ukrainian proposal for an immediate ceasefire. “Russia is perpetuating terror and obstructing diplomatic solutions,” the president said, adding that Russia “deserves” sanctions and attacks on logistical and military targets.
